How to Order Your Parking Permit (Hangtag)

  1. Go to lamar.edu/parkingpermit.
  2. Login to the parking portal using your LEA username and password *Note* this is the username and password you use to login to Blackboard.
  3. Use DUO Mobile to provide a push for additional verification into the AIMS portal.
  4. Make sure you have the make, model, and license plate information for your vehicle and select Order Permits.
  5. You may read the Rules and Regulations regarding parking at Lamar University and select I agree with the terms to continue.
  6. Select either Student Lots, Senior Lots, Student Lots Accessible if you have an ADA approved placard or plates, or Disabled Veterans if you have DV plates.
  7. Select add a vehicle and enter your vehicle information, then click add and confirm. 
  8. Select your delivery option: select Pick up at Parking Office if you wish to pick up the permit in person or, Sent Permit via US Mail if you wish to have the permit mailed to you. *Note* The permit is ready the same day that you complete filling out the form. 
  9. Select add permit to cart. 
  10. Check over the information and then select the checkout button. 
  11. You may logout of the AIMS portal as you have completed filling out the form. A receipt and temporary permit will be emailed to your Lamar email. This temporary permit is good for 7 days. The receipt lets you know that you have completed the process, and the charge will be applied to your Banner account.

Student Permit Types:

  • Student Lots Accessible: This permit is for students who have a qualifying accessibility issue.
    • Note. If you are eligible for accessible parking, please provide your state-issued hanging placard or a picture of your state-issued license plate to the Parking Office.
  • Student Lots: This is a general student permit for students with up to 104 earned credit hours.
  • Senior Lots: This permit is for undergraduate students with at least 105 earned credit hours and for master’s students and doctoral students. This pass will only be available online if the student has over 105 hours. The option will not be available if the student has exactly 105 earned hours.
